The City Readies For The World

Throughout the city and surrounding towns you will find large placards on many buildings.
I kinda feel for the people who work there..in the dark.

The lighted lantern landscapes project images of the surrounding mountains.

Samsung, being a huge sponsor of the games, has taken up space all over the city. Those lines running across are the free Zip-trek lines you can do from one end of Robson Square to the other. Or the bus lines, can't recall. Either way, you can zip-trek.

Lantern Forest on Granville.

This is really pretty at night.

Granville Street, an all pedestrian street during 2010, is home to several art exhibits.

The Hudson's Bay Company, Canada's oldest retailer and victim to vandalism this morning.

The Official Olympic 2010 Countdown clock. It should read 00 0000 now.

The newly decorated steps just opposite the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Or BC Pavillion, as it is known for 2010.

Robson Square. The domed building houses the Olympic Spectator Skating Rink.
This is quite the hub of activity in this area.

The opposite side of the Vancouver Art Gallery/BC Pavillion.
The jumbo screen projects images of famous Canadian athletes.
